Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care in the PACU by assessing patient conditions, recognizing deviations, planning and evaluating care, and monitoring progress. Record pertinent observations and delegate appropriate tasks to other staff while functioning as a team member to fulfill unit goals. This per diem role offers hourly pay ranging from $36.00 to $55.80, with a new minimum of $37.25 starting the second paycheck in October. The position features a six-week schedule with approximately six call shifts and two holidays annually. Located in Naperville, IL, the role requires an Associate degree in nursing or higher, with a BSN required within five years of the start date.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing or higher level nursing degree (BSN required within 5 years from start date)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within ninety days of start date into position
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within ninety days of start date into position
- Employing critical thinking skills
- Assess patients' condition
- Recognizes deviations
- Plans and evaluates care
- Monitors patients' progress
- Records pertinent observations
- Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff
- Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals
- Must be available for 6 call shift (6 wk schedule)
