Job Summary
Assess patient conditions, recognize deviations, and evaluate care plans while rendering professional nursing care in the PACU. Delegate appropriate tasks to staff and monitor patient progress to fulfill unit goals. Requires current Illinois RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certification within ninety days. Weekend and holiday call rotations occur every 5-6 weeks. This per diem role at Endeavor Health's Elmhurst location supports a fully integrated healthcare system serving over 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing or higher level nursing degree (BSN required within 5 years from start date)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within ninety days of start date into position
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within ninety days of start date into position
- Weekend Call Requirements every 5-6 wks (12 hr shifts - Days/Nights)
- Holiday Rotation (12 hr shifts - Days/Nights)
- 9a to 5:30p M-F w ability to come in earlier as needed
