Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in the immediate postoperative environment, including infants through geriatric populations. Monitor physiological status, manage pain, and communicate with surgeons and anesthesiologists regarding patient conditions. Perform head-to-toe pre-procedure assessments, maintain PHA and PACU equipment inventory, and participate in performance improvement activities. Adhere to regulatory agency requirements, nursing policies, and medication dosing guidelines while demonstrating supportive behaviors during bedside reports. Requires current Nevada RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification with preference for one year full-time or three years part-time PACU experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Current Nevada nursing license
- Current BLS certificate
- Current ACLS required
- Handle with Care (or obtained within six months of employment) in required speciality
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care PACU setting
