Registered Nurse - PACU (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Provide patient care in the PACU using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care across departments. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy service standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Requires prolonged standing and walking each shift, along with the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat. Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure, plus BLS certification, is required. One year of RN/PACU experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the state of Missouri and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed
- Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining license
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Other unit specific certifications as required
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year of RN/PACU experience
