Job Summary
Coordinate patient care in collaboration with healthcare professionals, administering medications, wound care, and personalized interventions while recognizing adverse signs and reacting quickly in emergency situations. Perform physical exams, health histories, and health promotions, ensuring compliance with standards of care and established policies. Actively observe patients, collect and interpret pertinent data before, during, and after surgery, and accurately review patient charts to report abnormalities. Guide and advise other healthcare professionals, make care assignments based on skill levels, and arrange specialty referrals. Conduct research to support improved practice and patient outcomes. Maintain current ALS and PALS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree of Nursing / Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- Minimum of two-years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)/Intensive Care Unit (ICU)/Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience within the last three years
- ALS and PALS certifications maintained in a current status
- U.S. Citizen
- Excellent oral communication skills for patient/family education and telephone triage of patients
- Excellent written communication skills to perform accurate documentation, both written and electronic, of all activity, including telephone contacts, in accordance with requirements
