Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Pacific/Recovery area (PACU) at Northwestern Medicine, full-time rotating schedule. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, timely communication of changes in condition, development and modification of the plan of care with measurable goals, identifying and prioritizing patient needs, discharge planning and referrals, documenting outcomes, and ensuring thorough patient/family education. Emphasizes ethical standards, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-based practice; participates in unit safety initiatives, quality metrics, and professional development. Requires ADN or RN Diploma and active IL nursing license, with BLS; strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytic skills. Preferred certification in area of specialty and BSN.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or RN Diploma Program
- Active State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
