Job Summary
Deliver care for post-operative and post-procedural patients during the immediate recovery phase while adhering to AORN and ASPAN standards for aseptic technique and perianesthesia practice. Continuously evaluate, document, and report patient responses to anesthesia and surgical interventions, acting as a patient advocate by assessing, monitoring, and aggressively managing post-operative pain and sedation levels. Anticipate patient needs and potential complications by understanding the specific nuances of each procedure. Requires RN licensure from the Kansas Board of Nursing, BLS certification, and Advanced Life Support within six months of hire. Schedule is rotating PRN.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
