Job Summary
Lead the clinical recovery of patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring a safe transition from the operating room to the next level of care. Monitor and interpret patient physiological data to proactively manage pain and stability, while championing patient safety through rigorous infection control and sterile standards. Anticipate potential complications by applying deep understanding of surgical procedures and pathophysiology to intervene before issues arise, and document the patient's post-operative journey with precision for seamless care continuity. This weekend part-time role at Ascension Via Christi, St Francis, includes Saturday and Sunday shifts from 6:00am to 6:30pm with call and holiday requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- 1+ years of recent experience in an ICU or high-acuity Critical Care environment
