Job Summary
Assess patients' clinical and life issues, coordinate care plans, and monitor and implement the patient's plan of care while ensuring optimal quality outcomes. Provide professional nursing services in support of the physician, including disease management in oncology, chemotherapy, and its side effects. Perform timely documentation of assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Educate patients and families about treatment plans, address quality of life issues, and provide case management services to clients and families. Adhere to facility policies, regulatory requirements, and best nursing practices, including central line care, medication administration, and procedure assistance. Cover for team members, respond to patient calls and drop-ins promptly, and meet hospital turnaround time goals. Work PRN between Monday-Friday, 8a-5:00p, with initial orientation and onboarding at the Newnan campus.
Required Qualifications
- Current Georgia RN license
- BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date
- BLS (Obtain AHA certification within 30 days of hire)
- Must be able to work PRN between Monday-Friday, 8a-5:00p
- Must be able to attend orientation and initial onboarding for several weeks at the Newnan campus
