Registered Nurse – Outpatient – Triage – Neurology – Fishers

Job Summary

Triage incoming phone calls and portal messages, manage patient symptoms, and handle prescription requests while providing general clinical support for multiple providers. Assist with training medical assistants, manage nurse visit schedules for injections and blood pressure checks, and educate patients on self-administering medications at home. This role does not require travel to other sites. The position is part-time or full-time at IU Health's Community Medicine Neurology clinic in Fishers, IN, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. After completing training, the RN may work remotely one day per week. Candidates must hold an active Indiana or NLC RN license, an Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing, and Basic Life Support certification.

Required Qualifications

  • minimum of one year of RN experience
  • RN to join our Community Medicine Neurology clinic
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • no weekends or holidays required
  • primarily onsite
  • active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
  • awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN)
  • more than two years of relevant clinical experience (exception to accreditation requirement)
