Job Summary
Direct patient care supervision during outpatient oncology shifts, including administering IV therapy and mixing immunotherapy and chemotherapy as prescribed. Perform comprehensive patient assessments prior to administration and coordinate care tasks with LPNs and other team members. Maintain independence while promoting collaboration with physicians and departmental personnel. Satisfy established nursing practice standards and lead overall direction of all patient care during your assigned shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Currently licensed to practice, in good standing, by the state of employment
- Must maintain current BLS certification throughout employment
- BLS certification is required upon hire
- ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification required within 3 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Bilingual in Spanish
- ACLS certification
- ONC certification
