Job Summary
Coordinate and administer medical and nursing care to patients, including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient teaching. Demonstrate clinical competency with specific skills and equipment while maintaining clean work areas. Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes, promptly respond to patient calls, and manage life-threatening emergencies. Organize nursing care activities within assigned shifts and actively participate in unit-based Quality Assurance standards. Assist in orienting new staff and nursing students as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree: Nursing
- Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse in the State of Wisconsin and/or the State of Illinois based on job location assignment
- The ability to read, write, speak, hear and comprehend the English language
- The physical, technical and cognitive ability as well as the manual dexterity, to use patient care equipment
