Job Summary
Conduct independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in orthopedics, prioritizing patient safety through medication administration, infection prevention, and fall prevention protocols. Evaluate health status by collecting and analyzing subjective and objective data to identify care problems and create treatment plans. Triage patients in person or via telephone, implement proper courses of action per established guidelines, and provide health teaching and counseling to patients and families. Administer intravenous therapy, monitor therapy and treatment plans, and coordinate care between health care services to ensure appropriate resource utilization.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Graduate of board approved RN program
- Completed a minimum of 750 clock hours of faculty planned clinical experience
- High School Diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED)
- Registered Nurse License (Colorado)
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Customer focus abilities
- Ability to understand Kaiser Permanente customer needs
Desired Qualifications
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy code at time of hire
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
