Job Summary
Perform professional nursing care in accordance with NYS Nursing Practice Act, carrying out assigned procedures while maintaining a calm demeanor during emergent situations. Provide patient education as requested by providers and prepare patient records for visits, including chart prep and nurse note documentation. Assist physicians and mid-level providers with clinical activities, manage phone triage with attention to detail and acuity prioritization, and support appointment scheduling and nurse visits. Participate in scheduled team meetings to discuss clinical roles, processes, and patient concerns while implementing best practice standards. Shifts run 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday with no call or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from accredited RN program
- Current NYS licensure as a registered nurse
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize the acuity of each situation
- Standing-70%
- Sitting-30%
- Reaching-50%
- Lifting-must be able to lift 40 lbs

- Starting at 7:30am - 5:30 pm M-F

Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Cardiology diseases and treatment
- Knowledge of medical insurance carriers and how to obtain prior authorization
- Knowledge and ability to perform manual blood pressure checks
