Job Summary
Provide compassionate, high-quality direct patient care in the Orthopedics Unit, adhering to established patient-first best practices and protocols. Manage the patient’s comprehensive care journey by documenting progress, executing physician and nursing orders promptly, and communicating critical status updates to the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and safety of care. Coordinate patient services across clinical disciplines to guarantee seamless, well-integrated care and facilitate comprehensive discharge planning with the healthcare team to ensure a safe, smooth transition home.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
- Registered Nurse credentialed by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing prior to hire date or transfer date
- Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire
