Job Summary
Provide patient assessments and collect health data involving patients, families, and healthcare providers. Coordinate patient plans of care to ensure interventions are consistent, safe, timely, and appropriate. Communicate clearly with all stakeholders in person, by phone, and in writing. Individualize patient and family teaching based on thorough assessments to meet specific learning needs. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice effectiveness while maintaining professional knowledge of current standards, laws, and regulations. Work full-time days (7:00am–7:30pm) on the Orthopedic Unit at Northwest Community Hospital with every-other- weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Every other weekend required
