Job Summary
Conduct patient care on the Orthopaedic Ward, specializing in general surgical, bariatric, and colorectal surgery cases. Deliver high-quality care aligned with hospital values under the guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team, and Shift Leaders. Maintain a 7-day rotating roster covering afternoon and night shifts while adhering to strict patient safety protocols. Ensure all clinical assessments meet AHPRA registration standards and demonstrate strong critical thinking and communication skills. Complete required National Police Checks and provide proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with AHPRA (Registered Nurses)
- Recent acute care or surgical ward experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and professional growth
- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
- Working-With-Children Check
- Proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
