Job Summary
Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care for post-operative orthopaedic and urology patients following procedures such as joint replacements, ligament repairs, and major robotic surgery. Provide patient education, act as a clinical resource, and support staff and students including orientation and preceptorship. Promote effective communication and teamwork within the multidisciplinary department while contributing to operational objectives. Requires current AHPRA registration, hospital experience, and strong communication skills. Permanent part-time role with rotating day and night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
- Collaborative and patient-focused Registered Nurse
- Commitment to ongoing education, professional development and maintaining high standards of clinical practice
- Previous experience within a hospital environment
- Experience in orthopaedic and/or urology nursing
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team
- Strong commitment to quality patient care and positive patient experiences
- Must be vaccinated from Influenza
