Job Summary
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering quality patient care tailored to individual patient needs, conducting ongoing assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient responses to interventions. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask, and familiarity with nursing protocols and standards. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, along with a current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, while additional certifications such as ACLS are preferred. The position requires medium physical demands and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid compact multistate license, or a temporary permit while awaiting licensure required.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
Desired Qualifications
- Core certification related to area of specialty from National Certification Corporation (NCC) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) preferred within 1 year of eligibility.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of annual mandatory education requirements.
- Personnel Pool - NIH Stroke Scale training required within 3 months of hire or upon completion of orientation period.
