Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner. Requires a nursing diploma or degree and Tennessee licensure, with BLS within 90 days of hire. Additional unit-specific certifications may be required (ACLS, NVCI, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, NVCI) within designated timeframes. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, patient and family teaching, discharge and post-discharge planning, medication administration and safe handling, accurate documentation, reassessment and modification of care plans, and assuming charge responsibilities as appropriate. The role supports multiple patient populations across adult and pediatric units, with emphasis on telemetry, critical care, oncology, and emergency care delivery, and requires the ability to work under pressure, adapt to various clinical settings, and maintain professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire (where applicable)
- NVCI certification within 6 months of hire (where applicable)
- TNCC/PALS/ENPC where applicable
- PALS within 6 months of hire (where applicable)
- Oncology chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire (where applicable)
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred (Adult ER) or pediatric ER/ped care experience as applicable
- TN license to practice nursing
