Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Ortho/Spine, PRN Nights at Williamson Health. The role coordinates, implements, and plans nursing care in a timely and accurate manner, performing comprehensive assessments, developing individualized care plans, planning for discharge and post-discharge needs, and delivering patient teaching. Responsibilities include applying standard nursing knowledge across adult medical/surgical, critical care, emergency, oncology, pediatric, and telemetry contexts; administering medications and solutions safely; documenting timely and accurately; and ensuring appropriate responses to patient condition changes. Requires current Tennessee RN licensure, a nursing diploma/degree, BLS within 90 days of hire, and unit-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS, NVCI, TNCC/ENPC as applicable) within stated timeframes. The environment includes telemetry-capable units, potential critical care and oncology rotations, and pediatric-care delivery experience. Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- For 3rd floor telemetry unit: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 6 months of hire
- For float pool and float pool extended: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; NVCI within 6 months of hire
- For critical care: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; NVCI within 6 months; AACN, CCRN or CCP within two years of hire
- For Oncology: ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- For Adult Emergency Room: at least one year of emergency experience preferred; TNCC preferred; ACLS within 6 months; PALS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months
- For Pediatric Medical Surgical: at least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred; PALS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months
- For Pediatric Emergency Room: at least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred; PALS within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months; ENPC or TNCC within 6 months
