Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner. Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients upon admission, identify problems and needs, and develop individualized care plans with attainable outcomes. Administer medications and treatments safely while documenting accurately and reassessing patient conditions to modify care plans as needed. Accept charge responsibilities, assign staff based on acuity and complexity, and facilitate staff development. Maintain a healing therapeutic environment and adhere to all hospital policies and competency standards.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly
- Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day
- Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
- AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred
- TNCC Preferred
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire
- At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred
- At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
