Job Summary
Provide Circulator or Scrub Nurse across multiple surgical specialties (cardiac, ortho, trauma) requiring aseptic technique, accurate surgical counts, and leadership of Time-Out protocols. Responsible for patient positioning to prevent nerve injury and skin breakdown, and for rapid intraoperative crisis response (e.g., malignant hyperthermia, massive hemorrhage, cardiac arrest). Travel across Ascension acute care hospitals with 40-hour/week schedules and varied shifts; must maintain required RN licensure and BLS, and have at least one year of acute care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program
- One year of RN experience in an acute care setting
- Ability to travel as part of the assignment
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted
