Job Summary
Deliver patient care through the nursing process across preoperative, interoperative, and postoperative phases. Assess physiological and psychosocial status, establish nursing diagnoses, and formulate tailored care plans. Document legibly, verify patient identity, and maintain aseptic technique while anticipating surgeon needs. Respond to emergencies and adjust care plans based on patient data. Requires current RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and minimum one year of OR experience. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 0630-1500, with hours varying by case load.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse License
- Current American Heart Assn. BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum one year in the OR
- Ability to scrub and circulate
