Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Orthopedic setting with circulating experience preferred. Provides nursing care in an operating room, ensuring patient safety and adherence to standards. Responsibilities include assessing patient and family needs, organizing time and resources for efficient case management, preparing the operating room, implementing and documenting care, maintaining asepsis, supporting anesthesia, and adhering to safety and center protocols. Requires BSN, Illinois RN license, BLS/ALS, and 2+ years in orthopedic surgery; PALS preferred. Per diem shifts with variable hours; base salary offered with standard benefits. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required
- Valid State of Illinois Registered Nurse license is required
- BLS and ALS certifications are required
- PALS certification preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years experience in orthopedic surgery is required
- Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred
- Knowledge in medical terminology preferred
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio, rate, and percent.
- Soft Skills: Ability to communicate well and effectively present information to patients, families, co-workers, etc.
