Job Summary
Assess patient needs across adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations and formulate goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnoses. Implement skilled care following physician orders while establishing priorities based on essential patient needs and available resources. Perform efficient emergency response following established protocols, documenting events accurately and concisely. Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications, attend mandatory in-services, and participate in staff meetings. Treat all patients equally under the facility's Patient Rights policy and assist with other duties as requested. Requires current Texas RN license, at least one year of OR experience including neuro-spine or orthopedic joint, and scrubs experience or willingness to learn.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas RN License
- BLS certification
- ACLS or successful completion within 3 months of hire date
- At least 1 year OR experience including neuro-spine, spine and orthopedic joint
- Must possess organizational skills to function in a fast paced OR environment
- Scrub experience or willingness to learn
- Must be able to lift and/or carry over 20 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to push/pull over 25 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand and/or walk at least five hours per day
