Job Summary
Document patient assessments, reassessments, and progress toward goal achievement accurately and timely. Administer medication and parenteral therapy in accordance with policy, including blood administration. Establish priorities for patient care delivery using critical thinking skills, coordinating responsibilities independently or by delegating appropriately. Provide patient and family education while assisting in discharge planning, considering readiness barriers and alternatives. Collaborate effectively with the health care team to escalate situations and promote patient safety through adherence to National Patient Safety Goals. Maintain personal accountability for professional practice and growth while establishing caring relationships with staff, patients, and families.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
- Registered Nurse License-NYS
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
- NY State RN License
- Nursing experience
- CNOR
- AORN
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
