Registered Nurse - OR - Multiple Locations

Develop a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes and evaluates patient progress toward attainment of outcomes. Provide patient assessment, collect health data, and communicate the plan of care to the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team while documenting all health data, interventions, and communications. Individualize patient and family teaching based on thorough assessment, including disease management strategies, emergency care, and drug information, while identifying community resources to support self-management. Interact with peers, students, and other health care providers to contribute to professional development, share knowledge, and delegate tasks as needed. Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support and assist technical staff with injections, venipuncture, and IV management. Conduct daily rounds of wound/ostomy/skin care patients if skilled, monitor treatment plan effectiveness, and participate in performance improvement activities and nursing research. Comply with HIPAA regulations and assist in transporting acutely ill patients as needed. Full-time position with varying shifts, weekends, and call; previous OR experience strongly preferred.
