Job Summary
Gather and update patient information and vital signs, administer medications and vaccines, perform diagnostic screenings, and collect specimens for testing. Accurately place and review orders within the EMR, relay lab results to patients, and provide patient education. Respond to urgent or acute situations based on prioritization skills and coordinate care with in-house specialties and community resources. Document all activities timely and maintain strict confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA guidelines. This ambulatory care Registered Nurse role requires an unencumbered active RN license in Maine, BLS certification within six weeks, and proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications.
Required Qualifications
- ADN or BSN from an accredited institution
- Unencumbered active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine
- BLS required within 6 weeks of hire
- Demonstrates excellent professional judgement, phone skills and prioritization decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to rapidly changing, sometimes acute patient care needs
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
Desired Qualifications
- electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
