Job Summary
Conduct ophthalmology and otolaryngology patient care in the Main Operating Room, maintaining standards of professional nursing practice through continuous assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct ancillary personnel and collaborate with interns, residents, fellows, and attending physicians while managing priorities under stress. Requires current Massachusetts licensure, 2+ years of medical/surgical experience, and OR nursing experience. Full-time 36-hour rotating shift schedule (M-F, 2x8-hour and 2x10-hour blocks) at 243-245 Charles Street, Boston.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
- baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in Massachusetts
- A minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical Nursing experience
- OR nursing experience
- Related experience for advanced clinical and specialty areas
- Demonstrates leadership activities
- Ability to work under stressful situation
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
