Job Summary

Provide primary care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation. Obtain patient consent, document health history and vital signs, and execute prescribed treatments and medication administration. Educate patients and families on health status and condition management while participating in multidisciplinary teams to improve care processes. Monitor treatment progress, track quality assurance data, and delegate tasks as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Maintain current state registered nurse license and CPR certificate. Full-time 7pm to 7am shift with a $8k sign-on bonus for LPNs and $10k for RNs requiring a two-year commitment.

Required Qualifications

  • RN
  • Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum one year of professional nursing experience
  • Current state registered nurse license
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Knowledge of nursing processes
  • Knowledge of health care systems, structure, and functions
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Understanding of health care technology, equipment, and supplies
  • Familiarity with state law on nursing care
  • Familiarity with nurse practice guidelines
  • Familiarity with clinic policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of wellness/illness, growth and development, human behavior, psychosocial factors, and alternative health care treatments
  • Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements
  • Knowledge of federal/state laws related to release of health care information
  • Skill in time management
