Job Summary
Registered Nurse - OR I at Boys Town in Omaha, NE. Performs circulating duties in the operating room, assists the surgeon and surgical team, and ensures proper asepsis and sterile field setup. Conducts pre-operative assessments, plans and adapts care for patients based on age and development, maintains clear documentation, and participates in communication handoffs. Coordinates with the health care team to prepare the OR, manage instruments and supplies, and support readiness for Joint Commission reviews. Scheduling includes 4x10 shifts with a $15,000 Hiring Bonus. Requires RN license, OR experience, BLS, ACLS and PALS within specified timelines, and proficiency with EMR and computer use.
Required Qualifications
- A registered nurse who is a graduate of an accredited school with a current state license required.
- Minimum of one year of previous OR experience required.
- CPR (BLS) certification required.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of transfer or hire required.
- PALS certification within 6 months of transfer or hire required.
- Prior working knowledge of using a personal computer and electronic medical records required.
