Job Summary
Registered Nurse OR at Lee's Summit Medical Center in Summit, MO. Evaluate patients prior to surgery, provide perioperative patient and family education, assist with preoperative medications and surgical site verification, participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols, recognize and respond to emergencies, deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in the Operating Room. On-call required during select non-business hours. Drive evidence-based practice and continuous improvement in perioperative care, while educating patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of employment start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse (RN)
