Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult post-operative orthopedic trauma and neurosurgery patients on a 12-hour shift schedule with rotational weekends. Utilize the nursing process to evaluate care effectiveness and coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 pounds, along with prolonged standing and walking. Obtain and maintain current RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends
