Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Oncology 7A

Job Summary
Deliver patient care for hematology and oncology patients across all treatment stages, including chemotherapy administration, radiation, surgical interventions, and end-of-life care. Manage complex needs involving wound care, drain care, tube feeding, pain management, and remote telemetry monitoring for up to 13 rooms. Collaborate with the Hospice team to support patients and loved ones while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to Mercy Service Standards. Work 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) with rotational weekends, requiring the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, and walk for prolonged periods. Obtain and maintain a current RN license and Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Availability for 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am
- Availability for rotational weekends
- Full Time Nights employment classification
- Full Time Nights Weekends employment classification
- Med-surg skills such as wound care, drain care, tube feeding, and pain management
- Certification in chemotherapy administration
- Ability to administer radiation
- Ability to perform surgical interventions
- Ability to manage transfusions
- Ability to provide end of life care including pain and secretion management
- Ability to work with the Hospice team
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years' RN experience
- 3-4 years' RN experience
- 5+ years' RN experience
- Remote telemetry monitoring experience
- Hematology and oncology patient care experience
