Job Summary
Provide patient care on a Med-surg Telemetry unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating with other departments. Evaluate care effectiveness, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and utilize critical thinking and assessment skills within an Innovation Unit focused on solving challenges through PDSA cycles. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) with rotational weekends, with full-time and part-time options available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends
