Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Med Surg 7B

Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for the assigned medical surgical population, managing chronic and acute onset diseases including infectious disease, wound management, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes, and gastro-intestinal conditions. Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining professional accountability for the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality of patient information are upheld. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with prolonged standing and walking required each shift. Work 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) with rotational weekends.
