Job Summary
Provide patient care for the 4B Cardiac Unit, managing telemetry monitoring, pacemaker/ICA care, post-angio patients, CHF, vascular cases, and five main medication drips. Utilize the nursing process to maintain professional accountability while coordinating care with other departments and ensuring patient confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing. Work 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts with rotational weekends on a 31-bed adult cardiac unit.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate or upcoming Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years' RN experience
- 3-4 years' RN experience
- 5+ years' RN experience
- IV Certification
