Job Summary
Per-diem Registered Nurse for an operating room assignment in Selma, AL. Functions as the circulating nurse, managing overall nursing care in the OR, maintaining a sterile field, and advocating for the patient before, during, and after surgery. Responsibilities include preoperative assessments, site and consent verification, coordinating the surgical team and equipment, and ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety throughout the procedure. Requires a BSN, active Alabama RN license, and at least 6 months of RN experience, with CPR/BLS certification. Schedule features day shifts 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CDT, 1099/per-diem arrangement, with an hourly rate of $39.03. Credentialing and background checks as specified by the facility or agency.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license from the state of Alabama.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of RN work experience.
- Technical Skills: Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support preferred).
- Credentialing Requirements: Clean background check, negative TB test results, annual physical, COVID-19 vaccination, and other requirements as specified by the facility or agency.
