Job Summary
Operate as a Registered Nurse in the OR (Surgery) delivering and coordinating patient care using the nursing process. Responsibilities include planning and delivering care for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures, performing pre-operative assessments, scrub and circulating functions, monitoring vital signs, assisting with specimen collection, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the surgical team to implement individualized care plans. Emphasis on minimally invasive approaches and robotic surgery (da Vinci system) within Holy Cross Health Trinity Health network; includes shift coverage for day shift, full-time capacity, and opportunities for BSN/MSN advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current RN licensure (Maryland or Compact State)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- At least 1 year of surgical setting nursing experience (scrubbing and circulating)
