Registered Nurse- OR- Day Shift

Registered Nurse-Surgery in the Day Shift at Holy Cross Health (Silver Spring, MD) provides and coordinates patient care in the operating room setting. Responsibilities include performing pre-operative assessments, scrub and circulating duties, monitoring vital signs, assisting with specimen handling, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the surgical team to implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. The role emphasizes applying the nursing process, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical experience, and contributing to a minimally invasive surgery program using robotic technology (e.g., da Vinci). Minimum qualifications include an accredited nursing program graduate, current RN licensure, and BLS; at least one year of surgical nursing experience; and a time-bound path to BSN/MSN.
