Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR Circulator) provides comprehensive perioperative care before, during, and after surgery. Responsibilities include preparing the OR and equipment, passing instruments to the surgical team, monitoring vital signs and anesthesia, maintaining a sterile field, assisting in patient recovery, educating patients and families on post-operative care, and maintaining detailed surgical records. Requires strong knowledge of surgical procedures, infection control, effective communication with surgeons and staff, and the ability to coordinate care across the perioperative workflow.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- CPR certification (required)
- ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire or transfer
