Job Summary
Lead the comprehensive patient care journey in the operative setting by continuously monitoring, recording, and communicating vital patient status updates. Execute specialized scrub functions by meticulously selecting and preparing surgical instruments and supplies to maintain a sterile field. Support the surgical team directly by assisting the physician with critical tasks including precise patient positioning, achieving hemostasis, and facilitating wound closure. Maintain a state of procedural readiness by preparing the operating room and ensuring all instruments, supplies, and high-tech equipment are functional and sterile. This PRN role at Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee requires Advanced Life Support and BLS certification within 6 and 1 months respectively, plus RN licensure from Minnesota or Wisconsin.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
