Registered Nurse - Operation Room

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including admission, transfer, and post-operative evaluations, while documenting findings and patient education needs. Establish and evaluate plans of care by formulating interventions, administering medications, and monitoring IV fluids and parenteral nutrition. Collaborate with the health team to coordinate daily care, provide accurate handoff reports, and clarify physician orders. Deliver specialized care for high-risk patients, manage pain using evidence-based techniques, and maintain strict infection control and safety protocols. Ensure timely response to call lights, maintain a clean therapeutic environment, and participate in performance improvement activities and unit committees.
Required Qualifications
- Current license and certifications
- Up to date BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Up to date HI (Infection Control/Hospital Infection)
- Annual TB Screening
- Influenza vaccination
- Annual Ethics Training
- Annual Safety Training
- Required Information Security course
- Required Abuse & Neglect course
- Annual Blood Borne Pathogens training
- Coursework as assigned for .edu
