Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) provides patient-centered perioperative care across OR services with responsibilities including coordinating care, administering medications, assisting physicians during procedures, monitoring and operating life-support equipment, adhering to infection control standards, documenting care, and participating in performance improvement. The role spans multiple OR specialties (Cardiac, Endoscopy, NICU, PACU, Telemetry, Dialysis/Cath Lab/OL), with focus on safety, collaboration with the surgical team, and patient and family education. Requires active RN licensure and BCLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred. Shift options include varied schedules (e.g., 5 8’s, 4x10s) with opportunities for student loan contribution and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
