Registered Nurse Operating Room

Evaluate patients prior to surgery, provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process, and assume responsibility for patient preparation including intravenous therapy and surgical site verification. Participate in surgical site verification protocols, recognize and respond to patient emergencies, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices. Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly. Self-preferential scheduling is posted four weeks in advance; on-call is required during select non-business hours. You must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date. As a full-time OR nurse with required OR experience, you will be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team consisting of providers, surgeons, and surgical technologists.
