Registered Nurse Operating Room

Evaluate patients prior to surgery, provide education on the procedure and peri-operative process, and assume responsibility for patient preparation including IV therapy and surgical site verification. Participate in surgical site verification protocols, recognize and respond to emergencies, and monitor patient conditions while documenting changes thoroughly. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by applying critical thinking and technical skills to independently manage safe nursing care within an interdisciplinary team. Self-scheduling is posted four weeks in advance, with on-call required during select non-business hours. Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment. This role supports safe, high-quality care at St. David's Georgetown Hospital, a Level IV trauma center north of Austin, Texas.
