REGISTERED NURSE - OPERATING ROOM

Plan, provide, and direct patient care and teaching in the operating room using the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. Act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families, and collaborate with other healthcare members. Assist in the orientation process of new personnel and participate in health center and department committees. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age groups according to specific chronological age, developmental age, and/or psycho-social maturity. This role requires a current Ohio State Board of Nursing license, CPR, and BLS certification, with CNOR credential preferred. New grads are considered. Call is required, and on-call sleep rooms are available, with weekend coverage depending on department needs. Southwest General Health Center, a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, offers no rotating shifts and free parking.
