Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments through chart reviews, interviews, and collaboration to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Monitor patient progress, adjust care strategies based on evidence-based practices, and maintain accurate records of assessments, status, and discharge plans. Provide education to patients and families, make referrals to resources, and advocate for patient rights while supporting interdisciplinary teamwork and clinical leadership. Perform additional duties as assigned to the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- You must be a registered nurse in Canada in good standing and be eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Completion of a post graduate operating room course, or two years' recent experience in an equivalent setting
- Demonstrated competence in performing CPR procedures
- Experience in teamwork, decision-making and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated a teaching aptitude
- Proficient in clinical leadership
- A strong desire to expand your professional skills and a commitment to lifelong learning in the nursing field
- A criminal record check may be required
