Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (PRN) provides highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current Texas RN license or eligibility, and at least six months RN experience, plus BLS. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment, accurate and timely documentation, medication and IV administration, and collaboration with the care team to support patient and family education and overall care quality. Hours are 0630-1500 with days TBD and PRN shift; Methodist Dallas Medical Center highlights include Magnet designation and recognition as a top employer in healthcare.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
- Work experience: Six months RN experience
